Sunrise Management – a multifamily industry leader which has specialized in residential real estate since 1978 – has announced the appointment of Randall S. Polycn as in-house counsel.

Polcyn brings three decades of legal experience to his new position at Sunrise Management, a San Diego-based firm which oversees more than 13,000 multifamily units throughout the west.

According to Joe Greenblatt, president and CEO of Sunrise Management, this position has been newly created, and Polcyn will play a key role in overseeing the firm’s legal department – negotiating and executing agreements and contracts, overseeing compliance and litigation issues and working with outside counsel.

“We are thrilled to have Randall join our team,” Greenblatt said. “He is a highly experienced and successful attorney with a background representing public and private companies in a variety of corporate, real estate, intellectual property and litigation matters. His insight and knowledge will be critical as we continue our expansion throughout the Southwest.”

Prior to joining Sunrise, Polcyn was in private practice, serving as a private general counsel for select corporate clients. Additionally, he has held general counsel roles at Whillock Contracting Inc., and Ashbrook Construction Co. and was an attorney with Fisher Thurber LLB in La Jolla.

He holds a J.D. from USD School of Law, as well as a bachelor of science in management and an M.B.A. in finance from San Diego State University.
